Chris Gardner is the Senior Pastor of the Metropolitan Baptist Church, a multi-racial congregation located in Brooklyn, New York. He has served in this capacity for nearly 30 years.
He served as the Pastor of North Wales Baptist Church, North Wales Pennsylvania, from 1985 to 1994. He holds the Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Taylor University, the Master of Arts in Religion and Master of Divinity degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary. He is presently a DMIN student at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary studying Expository Preaching.
Chris is married to Karen, and they have one son, Christopher (deceased), two daughters, and four grandchildren.
