Yes. Mid-America is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary is a Christian institution whose primary purpose is to provide graduate theological training for effective service in church-related and missions vocations. Applicants to the Seminary must have professed Christ as Savior for at least one year before registration. Maturity of character, personal integrity, and commitment to Christian service are necessary for acceptable study in the Seminary.

As many as you like. Online students get the same great access to our academic advisors as residential students, so you’ll always be able to stay on track.

Yes.

All masters and doctoral degrees are available online at Mid-America Seminary, and associates and bachelors degrees are available through The College at Mid-America.

No. While Mid-America is Southern Baptist by theology and adherence to the Baptist Faith & Message, our students do not have to be a Southern Baptist. For more information about admissions requirements, visit the Admissions section of our site.

All Mid-America courses are fully accredited, so yes, as long as the courses fit into their degree program, credits should transfer. To be certain, please check with the institution to which you want to transfer the credit before enrolling in an online course.

Yes, 99 percent of Mid-America’s online course content is asynchronous, which means that you access the materials when it fits best with your schedule. You will have to keep up with the course work on a weekly basis. Professors assign specific dates for the completion of papers, projects, and assignments.
