Mid-America Passion Play Returns to the Mid-South, March 31–April 3, 2022
Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, in association with Crossroads Baptist Church in Eads, Tennessee, is proud to announce the popular Easter production, known as the Passion Play, is returning to the Mid-South. Dr. James Whitmire, who for nearly four decades produced and directed the Memphis Passion Play, Jacksonville Passion Play, and Uruguay Passion Play, will direct the Mid-America Passion Play. The onstage, musical production will take place with multiple performances March 31–April 3, 2022, in the Mid-America Chapel located at 2095 Appling Road, Cordova, Tennessee. Dr. Whitmire, Worship Arts Instructor for Mid-America and Minister of Music for Crossroads Baptist Church said, “The Mid-America Passion Play is one of the best ways to present the Gospel of the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus because it shows, in picture form, what we’ve read in the Bible or studied in church. I’ve seen over the years how many people have been brought to Christ and lives changed because of attending the Passion Play.”
