Mid-America Missions Week 2026
Mid-America has long stood for “Bible, Missions, and Evangelism,” and this fall we are putting a special emphasis on missions with a three-day event featuring powerful speakers from our Southern Baptist Convention mission boards, the IMB (International Mission Board) and NAMB (North American Mission Board).
Mid-America Missions Week will be held at the new Arlington campus of Mid-America, Tuesday–Thursday, October 27–29, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. each day. Our theme is “The Harvest Is Plentiful, but the Laborers Are Few” (Luke 10:2). See below for more details and the complete schedule. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Tuesday, October 27. 11:00 a.m.
- In Chapel, Jacob Boss, IMB VP over Global Engagement, will be sharing about, “A Call to the Harvest Fields: Global Realities & Great Commission Responsibility.”
- Over lunch, he will do a Q&A about the IMB’s field restructuring around “harvest fields.”

Wednesday, October 28. 11:00 a.m.
- In Chapel, Dr. Andy Tuttle, the IMB Personnel Consultant for the Mid-South area, will share on, “Discerning Between the Call & the Commission.”
- Over lunch, he will be speaking on the topic of “Where Missional Muscles Are Made.”

Thursday, October 29. 11:00 a.m.
- In Chapel, Dr. JimBo Stewart, the Associate Director of NAMB’s Send Network Replant & Renewal, will be sharing about the need for church renewal, and at times the need for replanting. The title of his message is, “Jesus Has a Plan for Every Church.”
- Over lunch, he will share about resources and a pathway for church renewal.

Jacob Boss, VP of Global Engagement, IMB
Jacob Boss was elected Vice President of Global Engagement in February 2025. He has more than 15 years in cross-cultural ministry, leadership development, and global theological training. He and his wife, Elisabeth, previously served as IMB missionaries in the role of affinity group leaders, overseeing the work of IMB missionaries working to reach European Peoples. As a city leader in missions work, Boss has developed strategic partnerships and empowered local leaders to engage their local communities. Boss previously served as vice president of global training at Meridian, where he led work in Gospel advance through international church-leader training and the production of theological resources. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, and a master’s degree from Luther Rice University in Lithonia, Georgia. The Bosses have four children.

Dr. Andy Tuttle, Candidate Consult, IMB
Andy Tuttle has served in vocational ministry since 1980 in roles including associate pastor, hospital chaplain, professor, missionary, and ministry leader. After serving as a career missionary in Costa Rica, Peru, and Chile, he transitioned to the International Mission Board’s home office, where he has spent the past 25 years as a Candidate Consultant. In that role, he has guided applicants as they discern and affirm God’s call to ministry and missions. Andy has devoted his life to helping others understand and pursue their vocational calling through ministry, missions, and leadership development.

Dr. JimBo Stewart, Associate Director of Send Network Replant & Renewal
JimBo Stewart is a follower of Jesus, Audrea’s husband, and proud father of three Stewart Littles. Professionally, JimBo serves as the Associate Director of Send Network Replant and Renewal and as the Church Renewal Team Leader for First Coast Churches in Jacksonville, Florida. He holds a DMIN in Church Revitalization and an MDIV in Urban Missions, both earned at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. JimBo also loves exploring new places and playing disc golf with his kids.
