Mid-America President Dr. Michael Spradlin was recently interviewed by Byron Tyler on Mid-South View Point, a Christian talk radio show produced in Memphis by Bott Radio Network. During the 26-minute program, Dr. Spradlin spoke about the many highlights throughout Mid-America’s history, from its inception in response to the rising tide of theological liberalism in the 1960s and 1970s to its uncompromising commitment to the Bible, missions, and evangelism to its newest chapter: relocating to a new campus in Arlington, Tennessee,

Mid-America is on schedule to begin operating at the new campus for the Spring 2026 semester, which starts January 20, 2026. Dr. Spradlin mentioned that the efficient new high-tech campus will save the school hundreds of thousands of donor dollars annually by right-sizing the facilities to meet the current higher education landscape. Maximizing stewardship and optimizing the student experience, the new campus enables Mid-America to expand and enhance both residential and online programs to meet the needs of all students.

The new campus is located in the safe. secure, and fast-growing community of Arlington, just a few exits east on I-40 and 14 minutes from the current Cordova campus. Dr. Spradlin said that the beautiful new campus offers ample amenities, including the main library and two special collection libraries, 450-seat chapel, 100-seat dining/fellowship hall, bookstore and coffee shop, fitness facility, and, of course, classrooms and office space—64,000 square feet in all. The new campus also features advanced technology that will empower Mid-America to expand its educational degrees and programs into the future.

Mid-America will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony in January 2026 commemorating the official move-in and beginning of the first semester, and the school will also host a special Open House during Founders’ Days in August 2026. Be watching for more details on those events.
