Matt Akers

My name is Matt Akers, and I serve as an Associate Professor at Mid-America, as well as the Director of the Hispanic students.

As a two-time graduate of Mid-America (MDIV and PhD), I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your selfless generosity that allows students to graduate without the crushing burden of debt. I know firsthand what a blessing it is to be able to study to be better equipped to serve Christ, and to do so without worrying how to pay back a large loan.

During my time as a student, my lack of debt as a student allowed me to plant a church that could not support a fulltime pastor, and I was able to live on a church planter’s salary because of donors like you. I know for a fact that many current students similarly benefit from generous donors.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a great blessing to future ministers, missionaries, and teachers!
