Mid-America Passion Play Donor Banquet

Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, in association with Crossroads Baptist Church in Eads, Tennessee, is proud to announce that the Passion Play is returning to the Mid-South. Dr. James Whitmire, who for nearly four decades produced and directed the Memphis Passion Play and Jacksonville Passion Play will direct The Scarlet Thread, the inaugural year production of the Mid-America Passion Play (MAPP). The onstage, musical production will take place with multiple performances April 7–9, 2017, in the Mid-America Chapel. Tickets and seating information are available online.

Knowing the need to raise funds in order to provide a quality presentation of the Gospel, with the goal of seeing many people come to know the Lord, the seminary will hold the Mid-America Passion Play Donor Banquet, a fun-filled and exciting fundraising evening at the seminary campus on Thursday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m.

In addition to ticket sales, which help offset production costs, the MAPP Donor Banquet will help make the highly anticipated presentations possible. Supporters and partners have several ways to support the Mid-America Passion Play. Companies, businesses, and individuals may sponsor this inaugural production. Sponsorship levels are $5,000, $2,500, or $1,000. Sponsors will be recognized at the Donor Banquet and named in The Scarlet Thread program distributed at each production.

Another opportunity for the donor banquet is the purchase of a table. Tables are $500 for eight guests. The MAPP Donor Banquet will feature dinner served by Club Windward catering of Lakeland, Tennessee. Along with dinner, guests will enjoy a live auction of 10 exciting items plus a Fund-a-Need, where attendees will have the opportunity to give at different levels to help fund the production. Funds raised through the MAPP Donor Banquet will finance the building of the set, costumes, promotions materials, and other expenses incurred in producing Mid-America’s first passion play, The Scarlet Thread.
