Faculty Involvement

MABTS faculty take great pride in upholding an open-door policy. What does that mean?  Simple: if our faculty are in their offices, they are available for students to come in and talk.  Conversation isn't limited to classes and papers: faculty provide counsel on ministry and life.  No problem or situation is too weighty or too trivial for our professors to offer an ear, and they don't stop with giving advice: they take the concerns of their students to the Lord. The halls of Mid-America become prayer rooms where faculty and students petition God.

Our involvement with students does not stop when they graduate and move to a new step in their journey of ministry.  We often receive phone calls and e-mails asking for direction and prayer or simply someone to listen.  Our professors are not just teachers: they are mentors and co-laborers. It is common to find professors and students serving alongside one another in local churches, not to mention battling it out on the ping pong table in the student lounge.
