Church Relations
The Church Relations Office serves as a liaison between churches and students. This office maintains contacts with local churches to be aware of opportunities for church staff employment. However, since the calling of ministers to places of service is the work of the Holy Spirit, the seminary does not operate a "placement office," but rather helps to introduce ministers to churches, missions agencies, state conventions and other entities, relying on the Spirit of God to lead the placement of His servants.
Search committees representing churches are provided with resumes for their consideration, and those needing pastors or staff are introduced to students and graduates of Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. Special attention is given to help graduating students to find church-related vocational service. Students are encouraged to seek counsel with the Director of Church Relations and to maintain a current resume for referral. Church relations services at the Northeast Branch are administered through the Director’s Office.
