Dakota Melton is originally from Mountain Home, Arkansas. He grew up playing baseball and was given a scholarship to play at Williams Baptist College. Before college, Dakota was radically transformed by the Gospel at 16. Baseball was the resource by which he would discover more of Jesus at Williams. Right before graduation, Dakota was overwhelmed by the honest beauty of a girl named Erin. They would eventually get married a year later and move to Memphis for seminary! Dakota’s life has taken him a lot of different places, but he loves Memphis, TN! Dakota plans to serve the student body as he himself has been served. He is unashamed of the Gospel and represents 116. Ask him about it.

Breanna Rutland was born and raised in Cherokee, Alabama (aka small town USA.) Breanna moved to Cordova in August 2011 in pursuit of her Bachelors of Arts in Christian Studies degree. Breanna graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in May of 2015. And in August, went straight in to working on her Masters in Biblical Counseling degree.

Breanna Rutland works at Kirby Woods Baptist Church on the maintance staff. While living in Cordova, Breanna has had the opportunity to serve and minister to the children and women at the Moriah house. Breanna has a passion for seeing the gospel spread and the lost reached; and to see women and children understand the truths in scripture. Breanna loves to hang out with friends, (where they realized early on that she is fluent in sarcasm and likes to laugh and have fun) read, and paint if time allows.

Mark French does not speak French. He currently lives in Collierville, Tennessee with his siblings and parents. On Sunday mornings he leads the Covenant Baptist College Ministry in worship. As a primary occupation, he mows lawns around his neighborhood with his brother Lucas. Mark has a passion for music in ministry and plans to become a music minister. During his downtime, Mark enjoys hanging out with people, creating animations, playing piano, and avoiding boredom.

Konnor Kessler was born and raised in Bolivar, TN. He receieved his Bachelor's degree at Austin Peay State Univeristy in Clarksville, wehre he ran cross country. Currently, Konnor is living in Germantown, Tennessee. One o fhis favorite hobbies includes playing competiitve basketball. Konnor also really enjoys a steak dinner. He serves as a Student Ministry Director at Gateway Baptist Church in Atoka, Tennessee. His passion is to share the gospel of Christ with others. "But God demonstrates His own love twoard us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Tiffany Alvarado grew up on her family's farm in Loretto, TN. The country girl moved to the big city of Memphis to attend the University of Memphis, but God would intervene and save her. She would discover a love for ministry of which she would move to Cordova to attend Mid-America. She is currently working on her third year in the Bachelor of Christian Education program. Since Tiffany is single, she enjoys spending her free time in the ministries she is involved in. She is a member at Kirby Woods Baptist Church where she is also employed as the Kitchen Director's Assistant. She teaches the 9th grade girls' Sunday School class, sings in the choir, and serves on the Mission Committee. Tiffany is involved at a local ministry in the Hollywood Committee where she helps with the children's ministry. When she isn't running late for something (which she always is) Tiffany loves to hang out with friends where her inner nerd comes out to play board games. Prepare yourself before you talk to her because she isn't fluent in sarcasm, so she may believe every word you say.

Mitch Kimbrell was born and raised in Doerun, Georgia but now resides in Cordova with his wife, Sara, and their daughter, Georgia. He has served churches in the Mid-South as Associate Pastor and as Interim Pastor. He currently serves Faith Baptist Church in Drummonds, Tennessee as Interim Pastor, and he is an adjunct instructor in New Testament and Greek at Mid-America. Mitch graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in History, and he received a Master of Divinity Degree from Mid-America. He is working to earn a Doctor of Philosophy Degree, also from Mid-America, in New Testament and Greek with minors in Theology and Old Testament and Hebrew. Mitch enjoys keeping up with University of Georgia athletics, and with the Braves, the Falcons, the Hawks, and the Grizzlies. A lifelong history buff, particularly presidential history, Mitch loves to bore anyone who'll let him with trivia about the guys who've occupied 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. (Who was the only bachelor president? You guessed it, James Buchanan.)

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,

Mitch

Nathan Elliott is from Charlotte, TN. He currently lives in Northeast Memphis. He is married to his beautiful wife Kimberly. They attend Kirby Woods Baptist Church where Nathan serves as a ministry intern. Nathan and Kimberly met at the University of Tennessee at Martin where they both graduated. Both Nathan and Kimberly have a heart for missions. They are currently living among and serving Central Asian and African refugees who have recently resettled in Memphis. Nathan enjoys playing all kinds of sports, especially basketball, football, and Ultimate Frisbee. In addition to sports, Nathan thoroughly enjoys learning and reading. Nathan has a broad taste in music, he could enjoy songs varying from Ralph Stanley to Trip Lee.

Jarrod Cox is a Colorado native who now lives in Corinth MS (culture shock!). He is married to an incredible woman named Christy. Together they have three children with another due this year. He is currently the Pastor of Farmington Baptist Church in Corinth, MS and has served  there for almost five years. Jarrod attended the University of Hawaii before attending MABTS and is now working on his Masters in Divinity. Jarrod has a ministerial passion focused on unifying the church and building the family through Biblical teaching and leadership development. Jarrod has no athletic abilities, instead choosing the nerdy things of life, like board games, card games, and other indoor strategic activities. He also enjoys theological reading and debating of anything controversial for the purpose of "encouragement and edification." Overall, Jarrod is a typical thirty-something millennial pastor with a family, a long drive, and good church who is trying to understand his place and future in society, culture and the church.

Alex Cain is the representative for third year bachelor students. He lives on campus, but is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. At his home church he worked with the youth, and is now studying to one day be a pastor. He enjoys reading and hanging out with friends.

Gracie Randolph was born and raised in Memphis, TN. She came to know Jesus as her

Lord and Savior on December 14, 2002, and God called her to the ministry her

freshman year of high school. Gracie spends her time working for a Christian day center

with adults who have special needs. She also enjoys working for a wedding venue as a

server which provides delightful perks such as wedding cake, food, and flowers. Her

favorite ministry opportunity is working as a youth intern at First Baptist Church

Fisherville. Gracie loves to read and study a variety of topics, especially in the library

while surrounded by books. Along with her nerdy side, she likes the outdoors, sports,

and traveling. Gracie will answer to the nickname “Gracie Lou Freebush” because being

compared to Sandra Bullock (whether it is true or not) is the highest compliment next to

cleanliness, which is next to Godliness. Or so the old Southern proverb says.

Prakash Sunuwar from Bhutan (preferred to call Nepalese). Born on June 19, 1990 in Bhutan, but had to flee to Nepal as a refugee at the age of 11 months old. After spending 18 years in refugee camp in Nepal, finally got an opportunity to come to the United States in June of 2009. Currently, l live in Memphis, TN with my family. Came to Christ in 2010 and since then have been involved in different ministries. Taught Nepali Sunday School, part of children's ministry, teach a small Nepali Bible study each week, and serve as one of the pastors at First International Baptist Church (Memphis, TN). Been married to Reeta Tamang since 2012, but not children yet. Felt that God has called me to go back to Nepal in near future for long-term ministry. Hobbies: photography, being out in the nature, and traveling, and I love to serve people.

Kelsey Verdell was born and raised in Greenfield, Tennessee. She received a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Martin. In 2012, she married her high school sweetheart, Tyler. The couple moved to Memphis in 2013 for Tyler to begin medical school. Kelsey works for the Campus Life office at Mid-America and serves as a teacher for 4 & 5 year-olds at Fellowship Memphis. She is pursuing an MDiv in Biblical Counseling and hopes to counsel in a local church after graduation. Kelsey enjoys reading, watching movies, visiting yard sales, exploring Memphis, and trying to convince her husband to let her have a hamster.
