Graduation

March 28 – Deadline to turn in measurements for graduation attire to Campus Life. Your height and hat size (in inches) are needed.  If you need help with measuring, please stop by our office.  Please click here to submit these measurements.

May 4 –

Graduation fee due to the Business office ($100 for all Master, Bachelor, and Associate level students; $150 for PhD & DMin students).  This fee pays for rented graduation attire, your diploma, professional pictures taken the day of graduation, and the graduate’s portion of the graduation luncheon.

Graduation Luncheon reservations due. Cost is $10 per person (minus graduate).  Money should be paid to the Campus Life or Business office. It can also be mailed to: Campus Life, 2095 Appling Road, Cordova, TN 38016. 

Childcare Reservations due. Seperate reservations are to be made for the Luncheon and for Graduation. Children of graduates are free, all others are $2 per child. Children must have a birthday AFTER May 1st, 2007.

PhT Name due. The "Putting Him/Her Through" award will be awarded to a graduate's spouse at the Graduation Luncheon. 

Alumni Contact Information Form Due. This form is in the packet mailed to each graduate and is to be submitted to the Campus Life office. 

May 11 – Any outstanding debts owed must be paid in full.  This includes tuition, fees, library fines, books, and rent to MASH).  All debts must be paid in order to graduate.

What to Expect on Graduation Day

May 18, 2012

9:15 a.m. – Dress Rehearsal

·         Please meet in the Robes Closet across from the Nursery at 9:15 a.m. to put on your cap, gown, hood, and tassel.  Once you are in your graduation attire, head to the preaching lab, C134, to line up. You will be able to pick up your cap and gown a couple of weeks prior to graduation. Bring your graduation attire to Rehearsal. If you want to leave your robe at the school after rehearsal for graduation night, be sure to iron it before coming and bring a hanger.

·         Group and individual pictures will be taken during Rehearsal only. Men, wear a suit with dark slacks, dark shoes, and a tie. Ladies, wear dark shoes with your dress. Photos will be mailed to you about 6 weeks after graduation.

Noon – Graduation Luncheon

·         The Graduation Luncheon is Friday, May 18^th, at 12:00 p.m. in the Betty Howard Special Events Room. It is for graduates. their families, and friends. Reservations must be received by Friday, May 4^th. The cost is $10.00 per person, except for graduates.

6:00 p.m. – Arrive for Graduation Ceremony

·         Check-in with the Campus Life staff at 6:00 p.m. in C134. After checking in, Graduates have the opportunity to take pictures with family members and friends. (Please be aware that this is the only time to take pictures; following the ceremony, we request that you turn in your graduation attire immediately, prior to the graduation reception.)  Return to C134 promptly at 6:30 p.m. to line up for the ceremony. 

7:00 p.m. – Graduation Ceremony

·         A reception immediately following in the Betty Howard Special Events Room.
